13th Documentary Screening and Discussion

Light refreshments and childcare will be provided.

Come watch and talk with us about filmmaker Ava DuVernay's film, 13th. The documentary explores the history of racial inequality in the United States, focusing on the fact that our nation's prisons are disproportionately filled with African-Americans. After we watch the film, we want to hear your thoughts about the film, how you and your family have been affected, and how you think it has affected the African American community. We will also discuss any fears, opinions, and/or calls to action you are apart of or would like to see and be involved in concerning this issue.
